Whelan, Wilkins & Spellman: Getting Tough on Corruption

Jim Whelan, Joe Wilkins and Blondell Spellman have a plan to make government accountable- by getting tough on corrupt public officials. This is the theme of our second TV ad, which outlines the Whelan team's plan to crack down on corruption:

Press of Atlantic City: Elect Jim Whelan

Yesterday, the Press of Atlantic City strongly endorsed Jim Whelan for state Senate.

2nd District Senate Race / Elect James Whelan

Atlantic County has had some powerhouse state senators over the past few decades, including Hap Farley, Steve Perskie and Bill Gormley. They were from different parties, but shared this: the imagination, pragmatism and political skills needed to advance - and protect - Atlantic County's interests in a Legislature that was sometimes indifferent to the region.

They are a tough act to follow. But we believe Democratic state Assemblyman James Whelan is better able to fill the role than his opponent, state Sen. James "Sonny" McCullough.

Whelan has been assemblyman for two years and was mayor of Atlantic City for 12 years.

Jim Whelan: An Outstanding Record of Service

Here at the Whelan Reform Team's campaign for change, we've started hitting the airwaves. Here is our first television ad, focusing on Jim Whelan's exemplary record as mayor of Atlantic City.

As mayor and as an Assemblyman, Jim Whelan has fought hard to kick out corruption and to make New Jersey more affordable for families. Now he's running for Senate, and he needs his running mates Joe Wilkins and Blondell Spellman to continue the reforms in Trenton.
